Komplast at Caravan Salon: the interactive touch motorhome

A touch panel for the Düsseldorf fair and an online tour on the website: Komplast components revealed by touching the motorhome.

Industry: Manufacturing, plastic components for recreational vehicles
Client: Komplast, Lucignano (Arezzo, Italy)
Solution: touch panel for the trade fair and interactive tour for the website, custom development
Event: Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2026, 28 August - 6 September
Languages: Italian, English, German

Komplast extrudes and moulds plastic materials for the furniture and recreational vehicle industries. Founded in 2007 in Lucignano, in the province of Arezzo, it now operates across more than 12,000 square metres in 3 plants, with over 20 extrusion lines, and sells its products in more than 30 countries. For the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2026, Europe's leading caravanning fair, Komplast wanted a stand that would show at a glance where its components work inside a motorhome.

The challenge: making visible what is usually hidden

Structural profiles, panels, closures and roller shutters are hidden inside the walls and furniture of a motorhome. At a trade fair, in front of manufacturers and international buyers, a catalogue isn't enough to tell their story. Komplast was looking for a tool that would:

  • show the components in context, fitted on the vehicle;
  • be explored independently by touching the screen, even when the stand staff are busy;
  • speak several languages, for an international audience;
  • stay useful after the fair, on the website too.

The solution: a motorhome you explore with a touch

Advinser designed and developed a horizontal touch panel for the stand, and the same experience in a web version for the Komplast website.

1. The "X-ray" motorhome

Visitors see a motorhome and, with a touch, discover its inside: the structure becomes transparent and the points where Komplast components are fitted appear.

2. Colour-coded hotspots by product family

Each colour stands for a family: structural profiles, panels, accessories and milled parts, roller shutters, closures and handles, curtains and dividers. A side legend helps visitors find their way.

3. Complete product sheets

Touching a point opens the component's sheet: description, photo gallery, assembly videos, catalogues and technical data sheets in PDF, and a button to request information.

4. The company in the spotlight

A video window shows the plants and production on rotation, while the menu leads to products, gallery, upcoming news and the company presentation.

5. Three languages

Italian, English and German, selectable at any time: a natural choice for a fair in Germany with visitors from all over Europe.

The results

  • A stand that tells its own story: visitors explore the products on their own.
  • Components shown where they work, not just in a catalogue.
  • One experience, two channels: the same solution works on the fair panel and on the website.
  • Information requests just a touch away, with a dedicated button in every product sheet.

Interactive experiences for B2B trade fairs

At industry fairs, technical products risk getting lost among hundreds of stands. An interactive experience turns a visit into a discovery: visitors touch, explore, ask. And the work done for the fair doesn't end after a few days, because it becomes website content that lives all year round. It's the same approach we take when developing custom software and applications for manufacturing companies.

Frequently asked questions

What is an interactive touch panel for trade fairs? It's a screen where visitors explore products with their fingers: in this case a motorhome in which every Komplast component opens with a touch, with descriptions, photos, videos and catalogues.

Can the same solution be used on the website? Yes. For Komplast, the panel experience was also brought to the website, so people who weren't at the fair can explore the motorhome online.

Can it be adapted to other products? Yes. The idea works for any complex product made of components: a machine, a plant, a piece of furniture.
